Bike crash boy injured

Friday 12th June 2009, 11:00AM BST.

A 16-year-old south Shropshire boy suffered serious injuries following a collision involving a moped on a private drive.

The accident happened in Burway Lane beside Ludlow Football Club and near the back of Castleford Close at about 2.30pm on Wednesday.

The boy was found near the moped and taken to hospital. His condition is stable.

Constable Tony Baker said: “At the moment, it is not known whether the teenager was riding the motorcycle, whether he was a pillion passenger or possibly a pedestrian.”
