Town’s office block up for £1m
Thursday 11th June 2009, 8:43AM BST.
A four-storey office block in Shrewsbury which houses the county court and failed to sell at auction has been put on the open market for just under £1 million.
Cambrian House in Chester Street was entered in a sale at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium in February but failed to reach its £830,000 reserve price.
The site is now being advertised by Wright Manley as a freehold opportunity with a guide price of £975,000.
The decision to offload the site comes just two years after Allen Business Developments lost an appeal to turn the building into 24 apartments.
Wright Manley has said that the existing tenancies are unaffected.
The agents say when fully let the property has an estimated rental value of £130,000 per year.
