Launch of £8m railfreight park
Wednesday 10th June 2009, 10:15AM BST.
The new £8 million Telford International Railfreight Park was today being officially launched, paving the way for millions of pounds of business investment in the town.
Shadow Secretary of State for Transport Theresa Villiers was opening the 26-acre site at Hortonwood, near Donnington, after work on the terminal was completed on time and on budget.

Today’s event was the customary opening ceremony. Comment one was another unwarranted negative remark against the project that was conceived to be of benefit to the local economy. Perhaps ‘Rob, Telford’ does not want the community to thrive.

roll on the train – less HGVs great news for the environment and for the local economy
