Freddie’s facing the boot

Market Drayton toff Freddie Fisher faces being the first legitimate housemate to be evicted from Big Brother 10, writes Ben Bentley.
Freddie, aka Halfwit, will go head-to-head with big-mouthed troublemaker Sophia in Friday’s phone poll after both got six votes to go from fellow housemates during the first nominations yesterday.
Freddie, 23, had been concerned that cooking a meal for the other contestants might lead to facing the axe and his fears were confirmed when he outraged housemates for using up much of the gang’s food supply in a single meal.
In the diary room, many of Halfwit’s rivals stated this was the reason they had nominated him for eviction.
Naive Freddie’s cause wasn’t helped when he burst into song with a jazzy version of Summertime.
The former chorister said: “I hated it when I couldn’t sing, but now I can sing.”
Halfwit’s eviction threat comes just hours after he was made third favourite to win Big Brother 10 by bookmakers.
The entrepreneur had been offered odds of 7-1 by Ladbrokes, while Kris Donnelly from Shrewsbury was fifth favourite at 8-1.
And with housemates developing opinions on their rivals, fellow Shropshire contestant Kris and sideburned rocker Marcus both agreed that Sree was like “an annoying little brother”.
The pair made the comments during a conversation with Angel and Lisa. Kris said: “It’s like you get attached to him and then it’s like, I’d like to humour you but I haven’t got a clue what you’re on about.”
In the diary room, Kris said he would avoid some of the housemates “like the plague” in the outside world.
