Assault breaks man’s jaw

broad-streetA man was left with a broken jaw after an assault in Ludlow.

A fight broke out at about 9.40pm on Saturday in Corve Street at the junction with the Bull Ring.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and have arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of assault.

He has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Police said a man in his 20s was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and then transferred to the North Staffordshire University Hospital at Stoke where he was found to have a broken jaw.
