First Shropshire swine flu case

Wednesday 3rd June 2009, 7:15PM BST.

Shropshire’s first case of swine flu has now been confirmed, with the number of people affected across the country topping 400.

An adult from Telford, who has recently returned from the USA, has been struck down with the virus.

The patient is one of 41 new cases confirmed by the Health Protection Agency in the UK today taking the total to 404.
