Fast food giant McDonald’s has become the latest company to use Shropshire in its nationwide television commercials, to be shown later this year.

The firm has just finished filming on two farms near Oswestry for its latest adverts which its says bring to life the story of its beefburgers.

Actors were brought in for the filming on neighbouring farms on Oswestry’s Racecourse and at Rhydycroesau.

A McDonald’s spokesman said: “This new commercial brings to life the story about our beef, showing McDonald’s burgers are made from 100 per cent beef from the UK and Ireland.”

Yoghurt company Muller recently put Shropshire on the advert map with its commercial showing milk travelling from across the county to its factory in Market Drayton.
