Telford man guilty of murder

A Telford man was this afternoon found guilty of the horrific murder of student Simon Everitt, who was tied to a tree and set on fire.

Jonathan Clarke, 19, of Queen Elizabeth Drive, Malinslee, Telford, was found guilty at Norwich Crown Court.

His co-defendants Maria Chandler, 40, and Jimi-Lee Stewart, 25, both of Yarmouth, were also convicted.

Simon, 17, an engineering student, was kidnapped, tied to a tree, doused with fuel and set on fire.
