Woman hurt in club fight

police-car-lights7A woman was taken to hospital after a fight between two women inside a Shrewsbury nightclub.

The 27-year-old was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital to have cuts to her arm stitched after the fight in the smoking area of C:21 in Abbey Forgate in the early hours of yesterday.

Detective Constable Alex Sullivan said: “The club was very full.

“The incident happened just after midnight and I would urge anyone who witnessed the fight, or the circumstances leading up to it, to please contact me.”

One woman was arrested and released on police bail.
