Joanna Lumley's election victory

This week the Shropshirestar.com time machine goes into the future to see how Prime Minister Joanna Lumley has been getting on.

“Hello, and welcome to Shropshire Star TV.

“Tonight, we have an exclusive interview with Prime Minister Joanna Lumley, who will be looking back on her first 10 years in office.

“In a wide-ranging discussion, Ms Lumley will be looking back to the events of May 2009, when the Commons expenses scandal forced the-then Prime Minister Gordon Brown to call a snap election.

“The result saw a collapse in support for the three main parties.

“In desperation, experts realised that the British would only vote for ‘someone off the telly’.

“The result saw a new breed of politician, and the outcome has been mixed.

“Tonight Ms Lumley tells us she is very pleased with Stephen Fry’s work in the Department for Education, and thinks that Katie Price has made real strides as Women’s Minister.

“However, ‘Mad’ Frankie Fraser’s selection as Home Secretary has proved controversial, and Nick Leeson’s time as Chancellor of the Exchequer surprised many people. However, experts say he still made a better fist of it than Alistair Darling.

“Meanwhile, later on this evening our discussion panel will be looking at whether the country’s fixation with celebrity is a good thing. Tonight’s guests include Coleen Nolan, Mr Motivator and Wolf off Gladiators.

“All that coming up tonight on Shropshire Star TV.

“And now it’s over to Business Secretary Peter Andre and that giant spanner. Peter, you’re the one on the left…”
