Woman in knife attack

Tuesday 19th May 2009, 4:00PM BST.

A knife-wielding elderly woman attacked a teenager in Telford.

The 18-year-old girl was struck as she walked along Castle Farm Way, towards Priorslee, police said today.

The elderly woman lashed out at the teenager as she walked past Priorslee Lake, hitting her in the head.

Denise Wakefield, from Telford Police, said: “The teenager saw a small knife in the woman’s hand as she lashed out.

“As a result she suffered four small cuts and scratches to her head.”

The incident happened on May 7 at about 1pm.
