Hundreds of Shrewsbury Town fans hoping to cheer their team to victory at Wembley on Saturday will be going by train.
Train company Wrexham & Shropshire is running two special services for the League Two Play-off Final – one of which will carry the team’s wives and girlfriends.
Today, some of the Shrewsbury team were at Shrewsbury Railway Station to promote the trains.
Leading goalscorer Grant Holt said his wife and mother-in-law would be using the service.
Midfielder Terry Dunfield said his mother was travelling from Canada to be at the match.
And fellow midfielder Paul Murray said his wife and two children would be travelling on the train to Wembley.
Captain Graham Coughlan said family and friends would be travelling from Dublin.
He said: “A lot of them are going down and hopefully coming back to Shrewsbury for a party.”
