Ignorance is no excuse
Tuesday 19th May 2009, 9:00AM BST.
LETTER: Since leaving school in 1965 I have been told year on year, mostly by Labour governments, that we must all tighten our belts, work more for less and pay more stealth taxes to help our poor country out of the mire.
So while the rest of us struggle to pay massive council tax bills, especially in low pay Shropshire, our wonderful members of parliament milk every penny they can out of the system.
There are many people out there who have committed benefit fraud and have spent some time at Her Majesty’s pleasure, rightfully so, but let’s have one rule for all and put these dishonourable members behind bars.
Ignorance is no excuse in the eyes of the law.

The issue here is the general public must push for the prosecution of all mp’s who have done wrong with regards false claims. I t seems to me the speaker is going to be the fall guy as all the others slither off in to the back ground and the media takes the focus of them . We had our very own ex mp claiming money he should have not have had and he to all seems to have escaped prosection as he has paid it back and it is swept under the carpet .
It is the voters of the uk who must push for all who have done wrong to be prosecuted or it will be clear to all MP’S ARE ABOVE THE LAW and are untouchable.
