Shropshire’s cricket crunch looms

cricket-ball22Shropshire’s cricketers have booked themselves a winner-takes-all MCCA Trophy showdown away against Oxfordshire at the end of this month.

James Ralph’s side got the better of Cheshire at Wem yesterday by eight wickets in a match heavily affected by rain and determined by Duckworth-Lewis.

Bedfordshire have won all three of their matches and now look certain to top group one.

But the second qualifying berth on offer for the quarter-finals will go to the winner of the tie between Shropshire and Oxfordshire at Challow & Childrey on Sunday, May 31.
