Weather worry for Trophy tie
Saturday 16th May 2009, 11:57AM BST.
Shropshire will be keeping one eye on the sky as they bid to progress in the MCCA Trophy against Cheshire at Wem on Sunday (11am).
Skipper James Ralph’s side bounced back to winning form last week, defeating Cumberland to get some points on the board after losing at home to Bedfordshire in their first group clash.
But only wins over Cheshire tomorrow and away at Oxfordshire in a fortnight will guarantee them the top two finish they need to prolong their interest in the competition into the knockout stages.
And the weather could be their biggest threat at the Kynaston Ground, with the weekend forecast far from promising.
