Boy, 15, hit by car

A schoolboy escaped serious injury after he was hit by a car in a village on the Powys/Shropshire border.

The 15 year-old was hit by a blue Peugeot 207 at about 3.40pm yesterday on the A483 in Pant. The collision happened outside the Cross Guns pub.

Emergency services were called, but the boy had suffered only minor injuries.

Inspector Scott Harris said police were alerted to the incident at shortly after 4pm by the ambulance service, and attended the scene.

He invited anyone who might have witnessed the collision to contact police on 0300 3333000.
