The Fron Male Voice ChoirMembers of a male voice choir from the Shropshire/Welsh border say they have so many commemorative discs celebrating their record sales they don’t know where to put them.

Members of the Fron Male Voice Choir, many of whom come from the Oswestry area, got together for a photocall to celebrate receiving their latest gold disc. The gold disc marks 100,000 sales of their group’s third album Voices of the Valley – Home.

The disc complements gold and platinum discs the amateur choir have already received for their first two albums.

Choir spokesman Dave Jones said: “We are very proud of our achievements and these discs recognise our album sales. Sales for the third album have been very good and the gold disc marks 100,000 sales.

“We have had gold discs for our first two albums and also received platinum discs for them which celebrates 500,000 sales.

“Getting the discs is a real achievement and now we have to decide what to do with them or where to hang them.

“They are pretty special and we need to think what we do with them because we do want to show them off because we are really proud that we got them.”
