Carl Jones reviews the new Star Trek film. Does it boldly go where no Star Trek film has gone before, or are the new crew not fit to tie William Shatner’s corset? Find out here.

And while we’re on the subject of Star Trek, our movie critic thinks The Wrath of Khan is one of the best films in the series, thanks to its strong story and the late, great Ricardo Montalban’s scenery-chewing performance as Khan.

Do you agree with him? Or do you subscribe to the basic theory that even-numbered Star Trek films are good, while the odd-numbered ones are bad? (Seriously, have you seen Star Trek 5? Bowel-shatteringly poor.)

    Oh my god!,

The graphics great but the surrounding shots are very blurred.

The story line very poor lacking in place’s.

Star trek time line, we all love has gone!, the last forty years of star trek never happened.
If this is what we have to come then Star trek is dead in the water.
