A post-mortem examination has been carried out on a Shropshire grandfather who died after a freak accident in which he was struck by a set of traffic lights just seconds after a vehicle had crashed into them.
David Evans, 69, died at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital after the incident in Bicton Heath, near Shrewsbury, on Tuesday at 4.35pm.
The tests were carried out yesterday on Mr Evans, of Gains Avenue, Bicton Heath, and an inquest is due to be held. Police today continued an appeal for witnesses.
