Mast plan supported
Tuesday 5th May 2009, 3:35PM BST.
A mobile phone mast could be put up in a residential area of Shrewsbury despite objections – after council bosses recommended the proposals for approval.
Vodafone has submitted applications for several masts in the town.
Now officers at Shropshire Council have said a mast at the junction of Clive Road and Monkmoor Road should be approved by councillors at a meeting of the interim regulatory committee on May 12.
Letters of objection have been received from county councillor Miles Kenny and retiring county councillor Eileen Sambrook.

I can’t see what all the fuss is over, for years the police station which happens to be in the same location has been pumping analogue and digital signals out. Who told the press that Cllr Kenny had objected to the proposal? There isn’t an election looming is there?
