Shrewsbury Town today secured their place in the League Two play-off with a 2-1 victory over Dagenham & Redbridge.
Grant Holt scored the first goal at the LB Barking and Dagenham Stadium in the 18th minute.
Chris Humphrey’s effort in the 33rd put Town comfortably ahead, but could the team stay that way in the second half?
No, seemed to be the answer when Dagenham’s Paul Benson found the back of the Shrewsbury net in the 53rd minute.
But hard-paying Town managed to keep their one goal advantage and seal the deal.
