Hopes high for bumper crowds

Blists Hill museum in Madeley, officially opened its new street on Thursday evening. "Canal Street" was opened by President of Ironbridge Gorge Trust, Michael Lowe. Horse and cart strolls down the new street.The Blists Hill Victorian Town near Ironbridge is expecting bumper crowds over the Bank Holiday weekend after two new major attractions were officially declared opened. Ironbridge Gorge Museums Trust president Mike Lowe was on hand at the site yesterday to mark the formal un- veiling of a new Canal Street and an artisans’ quarter.
