Councillors are always on streets of Dawley

Letter: You continually publish every bit of rubbish Shaun Davies utters. For his information and yours, Tawpa councillors are always on the streets of Dawley.

And, at the request of residents, carried out a survey to ask Telford & Wrekin Council to consider forming two new councils – one for Malinslee and one for Dawley. Not one person approached refused to sign and willingly gave their names and addresses.

It’s called democracy and personally I have never known a petition carried out so quickly. Furthermore any decision made regarding the future make up of Dawley’s council after 2011 will be made by Dawley people, not Tawpa nor anyone else.

That, Shaun Davies, is also democracy.

On the subject of wasting public money, your paper is not big enough to have space for what could be written about waste of public money by previous Labour administrations in Telford.

But when the time comes to expose the waste that as gone on over the years, I doubt we will see a Labour-led council again.

Tawpa is continually working to reduce the waste of public money and have already achieved some notable successes – watch this space.

Considering Shaun Davies is chairman of policy and finance on Great Dawley parish council and is so concerned over expenditure, how come he fails to turn up for meetings?
