Monday 27th April 2009, 3:47PM BST.
An inquest was today opened on a Shrewsbury man whose body was recovered from the River Severn more than three months after he went missing.
Unemployed carer Trevor Oliver was reported missing from his home in Millingtons Hospital, Copthorne Road, in mid-January.
Police recovered the body from the river on April 19 after canoeists spotted it in the Monkmoor area.
The opening of the inquest today heard the 49-year-old was identified using dental records. The inquest was adjourned for inquiries to be made.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.
