Crash leads to tailbacks
Friday 24th April 2009, 1:22PM BST.
Motorists faced traffic chaos on one of Shropshire’s busiest main roads today following a crash in which a lorry shed its load.
Two lorries and a car were involved in the collision on the A49 just south of Bayston Hill, near Shrewsbury, just before lunchtime.
Richard Ewels, West Mercia police spokesman, said: “The trailer on one of the lorries has overturned, spilling soya on the road. The road was not initially blocked but there were tailbacks.”
Mr Ewels said that none of the people in the vehicles were seriously injured but that one of the lorry drivers had minor cuts.

It could have been much worse, imagine it that had been a lorry load of onions…then they would have had to find a hard shoulder to cry on.
