Wait over river body
Tuesday 21st April 2009, 10:45AM BST.
Dental records will have to be used to identify a body which was found by a group of canoeists in the River Severn in Shrewsbury, on Sunday, police today said.
Richard Ewels, a spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: “The post mortem was held yesterday but identification is going to have to be done through dental records. That will take time.”
Results of the post mortem examination have not been released by police.
The body was discovered along a section of the river between the bridges carrying the A49 and railway line over the waterway.
