Mayor’s market pledge

The mayor of Oswestry has pledged to ensure it retains its tradition as a market town.
Councillor Gareth Jones told Oswestry Town Council’s civic dinner on Saturday there were some key decisions to make over its markets.
The council runs the indoor and outdoor retail markets, both of which have seen stall numbers slump.
