Air France-KLM to cut up to 3,000 jobs

Europe’s biggest airline Air France-KLM is to cut between 2,500 and 3,000 jobs as passenger numbers continue to slump.
The Franco-Dutch airline saw a 9.4 per cent dip in travellers last month.
Air France posted a €200 million (£177 million) loss in the last financial year and had to axe 2,400 jobs. The latest round of job losses will be made by not renewing short-term contracts and not replacing retiring staff, so no compulsory redundancies are expected.
This announcement comes just a day after Australian airline Qantas was forced to scale down its predicted profits to less than half of the initial forecast.
