Jump to it, Santa
Tuesday 14th April 2009, 1:35PM BST.
What do you do on a Bank Holiday Monday on one of the hottest days of the year?
While many people headed to the coast or enjoyed a walk in the park, a Telford pub was the destination for some brave souls who took a leap for charity.
And it was Santa who took time out from his post-Christmas break to be the first to do a bungee jump and officially open a charity fun day.

He was the star guest at the event held at The Mallard Pub in Brookside yesterday.
Father Christmas – in full regalia, complete with beard – turned up at the pub after being escorted in a convoy by The Lost Boys Motorcycle Club.
The family event was organised to help an eight-year-old Telford cancer sufferer.
Kyle Beddoes, who is from the Trench area, has the rare childhood cancer neuroblastoma and members of The Lost Boys of Telford Motorcycle Club joined forces with the pub to raise money for him.
Kyle has said he wants a new computer, so the fundraisers put their heads together and organised the fun day at the pub.
Dave Gajzler, landlord of The Mallard in Home Lake, said: “We are hoping to raise about £1,000 so we can not only buy Kyle a new computer, but also send him on a bit of a holiday.”
And the sunny weather brought out the crowds with the pub car park and grounds packed with people.
This year’s extravaganza was a contrast to those held in previous years when the activities had suffered from rainy conditions.
Organisers had been hoping the good weather would make the event an even better success.
Other activities held on the day including a car wash and the Lost Boys of Telford Motorcycle Club was running a cafe and offering motorbike rides to the public.
