 "If you were a child of the sixties you may well recognise some of those who appear in this photograph. They are, from left, Mervyn Hughes (lead guitar), Fran Lockbaun (bass guitar), Keith Woodland (drums), Phil Morris (lead singer), and Allan Underhill (rhythm guitar). The Saracens, who were all from the Ludlow area, were well known and even appeared as the backing band with some of the sixties greats such as The Four Pennies, The Applejacks, Unit Four plus Two, The Nashville Teens, Brian Poole and the Tremeloes, and The Hollies.'
