Power plant verdict wait
Thursday 9th April 2009, 11:20AM BST.
People in south Shropshire face an agonising wait while a planning inspector considers whether plans for a £5 million power plant should go ahead.
The inspector was due to hear the last of the evidence today during the inquiry into whether the wood chip burning plant should be built on the outskirts of Bishop’s Castle.
Inspector John Woolcock will have another site visit before making his final decision in the next few weeks.
Evidence was heard from air quality experts, noise pollution specialists and members of the public.
