Still spot on at billiards in a Shropshire league . . . at 88 years old!
Age has not dimmed Ken Powell’s potting power in the Clive Billiards League.
He’s still going strong as the oldest player in the league – and not only that he’s a member of champions elect Wem Conservative Club’s team.
Powell also reached the final of the Manor Bowl for plus handicapped players, only to lose 100-77 to team-mate Andy Tudor.
“Ken, at 88, is currently the oldest player in the league and he’s done the cause of octogenarians no harm,” said league secretary Michael Tench.
