Date set for food festival in spring
Saturday 4th April 2009, 11:45AM BST.
Ludlow’s famous food festival has launched a spring event set to attract up to 6,000 visitors to the town.
The event will be held over the weekend of May 9 and 10 in the grounds of Ludlow Castle and will focus on “beer, bangers and bread”.
The Society of Independent Brewers has been working with event organisers to lend advice and ideas on more than 100 local beers from Wales and the border counties, which will appear at the festival.
The weekend of music and good food will also see a range of vehicles head to the town on the Sunday, when the outer bailey of the castle will open its gates to vintage cars.

The Ludlow Food Festival runs from September 11 to 13.
