More odd lights in sky

Friday 3rd April 2009, 11:42AM BST.

ufo-small1Unusual orange lights spotted moving in the sky above Shrewsbury by revellers were also seen by other residents.

The lights were seen moving in the same direction at about 11.30pm on Saturday by people including revellers at C21 in Abbey Foregate.

It comes after UFO experts began an investigation in Shropshire after sightings.

Kate Tugwell was out in the town when she saw the moving unidentified objects.

And Chris Game, of Springfield in Shrewsbury, also saw the orange lights from his back garden at the same time.

He said: “I actually did see it on Saturday myself. She says she saw two but I only saw one, there was no helicopter noise or flashi- ng lights which you would expect an aircraft to have.”

Phillip Hoyle, of the UFO Investigation and Research Unit in Shrewsbury, is conducting the investigation. Many people saw globes above the county on March 10.

There’s most defiantly ‘other beings’ in the universe but it’s hard to proove what people are seeing arent normal objects, such as aircraft, stars, satellites, laterns or even dust collections/light pollution. Unless you actaully see a spaceship in the company of other sane people then there’s really no point reporting your findings. the MOD will only investigate findings which pose a threat to British terrortory.

They may have seen space junk re-entering the earths atmosphere.
Around about that time around Norfilk virginia USA. Bright orange lights and a load explosion was seen and heard and according to the National Space Agency it was attributed to space junk (2nd stage booster rocket) from a Russian rocket launched that week.
So this may be the answer to your UFO sightings.

Out of all the possible explanations for such things, why do people jump to that of aliens from other worlds? Sure such aliens do likely exist. But I somehow doubt that they are buzzing about over Shropshire. Seems like they’d be wasting their time. And note how no proper photographs of the supposed craft have ever been taken (at least none that have not turned out to be fake), despite the mass availability of cameras these days. Most sightings are often military aircraft, lightshows, balloons, satellites, space junk burning up, etc etc. A few instances are unexplained… but again, why the jumping to the conclusion of aliens?

(And, just to add – slow news week again for the Shropshire Star? Seems the articles on the pronunciation of Shrewsbury and random drunks seeing lights in the sky are ten-a-penny once again…)

Just seen a single red light moving from a north easterly direction across the sky, it dissapeared after passing directly overhead. The light was flickering from time to time. At first THe colour was the kind of orange you would get from burning paper and was quite bright. it moved slowly enough for me to consider getting my binoculars from inside the house to have a closer look (I would have had time had it not disappeared). I thought it might have been the international space station but that wasn’t over us at the time, any ideas?

My husband and two sons both separately told me that they had seen orange lights going across the sky tonight.
My husband saw one and said it was like a ball of fire moving fast and my sons saw three, not at the same time but in a close space of time.

Neither were spooked so that’s why they were not aware that my husband had also seen one and just metioned it when they came down for a cuppa. Very odd really.
