Man admits raid charge

in_courtA 28-year-old man today admitted attempting to raid a Shrewsbury jewellers on the town’s Pride Hill.

Gary Alan Milner, of Prestbury Green, Harlescott, Shrewsbury, admitted the attempted raid of the TH Baker shop on March 24, during a hearing at Shrewsbury Magistrates Court.

He also admitted a charge of going equipped for theft by being in possession of a glass cutter during the same incident.

The case was adjourned until April 22 for a pre-sentence report to be drawn up. Milner, who was remanded in custody, will also be sentenced for other offences.
