Results wait on foot find

police-car-lights1Results of forensic tests being carried out to see if a severed foot discovered on the banks of the River Severn is that of a missing Shropshire man are still unavailable, police said today.

Police in Cheltenham said the results were unlikely to be available until Friday at the earliest.

An investigation was launched on March 22 following the discovery of the human foot in a shoe by the river in Gloucestershire.

The find comes after renewed appeals to find Trevor Oliver, 49, who was last seen at his home in Copthorne Road, Shrewsbury, on January 14.
