Tree tribute for Kirstie

Thursday 26th March 2009, 10:44AM GMT.

Schoolfriends of tragic Shropshire teenager Kirstie Foster have got together to plant a tree in her memory.

Students at Ellesmere College planted the tree in memory of the 15-year-old, who was found dead along with her parents Jill and Chris after a massive fire at the family’s mansion in Maesbrook in August.

Headteacher Brendan Wignall said: “It was a very simple ceremony with girls from Kirstie’s house and her classes and some boys who were close friends.

“We planted the tree near to the house she would have moved into after doing her GCSEs.”
