Man quizzed over armed raid

A man was being quizzed by detectives today in connection with an armed robbery at a Newport petrol station.
The man in his 50s was arrested in the Woodside area of Telford yesterday afternoon on suspicion of robbery.
The arrest came two days after a masked robber walked into BP’s Nix Service Station, Forton Road, and threatened the young female assistant with a handgun, before fleeing with cash.
