Big drama for little Bridgnorth

goalShrewsbury Town and AFC Telford United may have been involved in big games on Saturday – but Bridgnorth Town topped the lot in terms of drama.

Their Midland Alliance clash at Friar Lane & Epworth served up six goals, five penalties and three red cards.

It is the latest in a string of action-packed matches involving Bridgnorth, and manager Andy Marlowe said of the 3-3 draw: “I don’t know what’s going to happen in our games next.”

  • Market Drayton Town are offering Shropshire football fans the chance to beat the credit crunch tomorrow night. They will be offering half-price admission of £2.50 adults and £1.50 concessions for the Midland Alliance League Cup semi-final first leg (7.45pm). “It’s the chance to say thank-you to the people who watch us regularly and try and attract a few extra people,” said manager Simon Line.
