Eddie Izzard (Picture: PA)Comedian Eddie Izzard is taking his record-breaking Stripped show on the road for a UK tour which takes in Birmingham’s NIA later this year.

Stripped is at the NIA on November 17 and 18, 2009.

Tickets are priced £30 subject to booking and transaction fees.

Izzard recently broke box office records selling out a five- week residency in London’s West End in less than forty- eight hours.

The Stripped shows come hot on the heels of his sell-out tour across 34 American US cities – including three nights at New York’s legendary Radio City Music Hall

This will be Izzard’s first full UK tour in six years and there is sure to be big demand for tickets.

Eddie Izzard  has been hailed as one of the foremost stand-ups of his generation. He takes ideas and situations and extrapolates then into bizarre, tangential, absurd and surreal comic narratives.

Since his first stage appearance on London’s West End in 1993 there have been a succession of sell-outs and critically acclaimed international tours.

Izzard’s musings have earned him countless awards including two Emmy’s.

While initially renowned as a comic, Izzard is also now equally respected as a film, theatre and TV actor.

He was recently to be seen on the big screen starring opposite Tom Cruise in Valkyrie.
