U-turn over windfarm
Thursday 12th March 2009, 1:14PM GMT.
Controversial plans for a windfarm in north Shropshire took another twist today, after a neighbouring council made a U-turn and withdrew its objection to part of the scheme.
While Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council still “strongly objects” to plans to build a windfarm at Poplar Lane, Norton in Hales, it has withdrawn its reasons for refusing an application to build an access to the site.
The council had refused permission for Nuon Renewables to form an access onto land at Bearstone.

personally i dont know what all the complaints are about i think wind turbines are really beautiful and they clearly work well in other countries like wales and all over Denmark and Spain, so why not go for it here too, we need the power
