Yesterday’s announcement that Wrekin Construction has gone into administration dealt a major blow to the Shropshire jobs market.

The news has also drawn criticism from across he county, following revelations about the firm’s finances and the role of its bank.

But today Telford has learned that the town’s civic offices, Malinslee House, have been sold to Asda in a deal that will hopefully kick-start the local economy.
