I am an ex Senior NCO / Civilian Volunteer Gliding Instructor.

I am disgraced at the person behind this decision. If you imagine how the cadets/NCO’s and Jez feel, it would be the same as banning Eric Clapton from the Guitar. I hope you have good moral building skills as your going to need them now if reinstatement is not given.

Some people find it hard to make sensible suggestions and decisions and maybe this should be questioned with their role?

Jez Gardner was not only a Commanding Officer to me, but he was a friend and still is aswell as his brother and family. He would support anyone, even if outside the corp. That makes him a very decent and well respected person. Is this the type of person the corp’s/forces want??? He is probably better influence to these cadets than there school/college teachers are.

I have done many things with the Air Training Corp’s including being part of Internation Air Cadet Exchange and many flying qualifications, which Jez supported me with always like everyone else. I cannot believe this stupidity, and incorrect move on someone who was not ‘ideal’, ‘MORE THAN ideal’ and who would complain at that with the development of their children/teenages!

hi i totally understand how you all feel but..
ever thought of giving the new CO a chance?
you never know he may be gr8
and besides im sure Jez will be down most nights anyway – just have consideration for your new CO’s feeling as well
