Saturday 7th March 2009, 11:17AM GMT.
Highways officials are due to hold a stakeholder’s meeting to show a 3D model of the proposals and outline their vision on Thursday, before the public will get to see the proposed scheme in full from Friday in four exhibitions in Shrewsbury. The exhibitions, which will run until April 17, will be at Shirehall, the Guildhall, Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery at Rowley’s House, and Shrewsbury Reference Library in Castle Gates.

a giant carpark is hardly the most inviting propsect for a town centre? Why not put the carparks on the outskirts, lay on free shuttle buses and have this a pedestrianised market square with cafes etc, put the people first not the vehicles

more desecration of shrewsbury, spend this money on northern bypass and build 1 more park and ride. keep all cars out of town except disabled and impose a congestion charge for all other traffic

the main thing is it should be cheaper and easier to park in shewsbury, labour is anti car, we would cut car taxes and make it easier for everyone to drive everywhere

Anyone notice what is missing from these bright colourful pictures?
Bumper to bumber traffic gridloacked across the town centre.
Exactly how is moving the existing traffic around a newly formed car park
Going to improve traffic flow??
Maybe you need to be paid by the government to visualise the benefits…
