Celebrity chef to appear at show

Jean-Christophe Novelli (picture: PA)An internationally famous French chef is to fly to the UK to appear at Shrewsbury’s West Mid Show.

Jean-Christophe Novelli is a well known TV chef appearing on Celebrity X Factor, Hell’s Kitchen, Daily Cooks, Saturday Cooks, Richard & Judy’s Tender Loving Cooking and Friday night with Jonathan Ross.

But this summer he will be swopping the life behind the cameras for the Berwick Road showground in Shrewsbury – his first appearance at an agricultural show.

Gary Tudor, the event’s commercial director, today said visitors will have the chance to meet Jean-Christophe on June 27 and 28 when he will stage three demonstrations a day in the cookery theatre.

He will also be selling his books and signing them for people at the show.

Jean-Christophe has among his culinary accolades four consecutive Michelin stars, five AA rosettes, AA Chef of the year and owns two successful gastro pubs in the South of England.

He regularly attends the top national and international events including the Ideal Home show, The BBC Good Food Show, grand designs and homes & Gardens show.

And his appearance is set to attract the ladies with Jean-Christophe’s reputation of being the Sexiest Chef on TV.

He was nominated as “The worlds Sexiest Chef” by the New York Times and voted in the Sky viewers “Top 50 beautiful men” poll.

Society chairman Annie Home-Dodd said she was “very excited” about the show being able to secure such a high-profile chef..”
