Have you got news for us?

Calling all residents in the Minsterley area – have you got a good news story or event that needs promoting?
Shropshire Star reporter John Kirk will be back in the village tomorrow afternoon for a “surgery”.
And he is hoping to speak to as many people as possible to find out the issues that matter to them in the parish and surrounding area.
So do you know somebody who has done something special, or are you concerned about traffic or crime in the village?
What are your thoughts on the proposals to strengthen Minsterley Bridge, and how can people support small shops to ensure they survive?
These issues and any others people feel might make a story can be raised at the surgery which will be held in Minsterley Parish Hall’s committee room from 1.30pm to 3.30pm tomorrow.
And event organisers, club secretaries and other people involved in organisations in the area are also encouraged to attend to make contact and speak to John about possible story or photograph opportunities.
The event follows a similar one last year which proved a big success, allowing a number of residents to tell their stories and get some publicity in the newspaper.
If you are unable to make it John, who is deputy chief reporter in Shrewsbury, can be emailed at jkirk@shropshirestar.co.uk or call him on (01743) 283352.
