Brown wants a start

Striker Andy Brown could earn a return to AFC Telford United’s starting line-up at Hyde tomorrow – after proving his fitness in the FA Trophy victory at Southport.
The 22-year-old has been struggling with an Achilles injury and has not started a game since January 17, ironically in the 3-2 defeat at home to Hyde.
But he came on for the last 10 minutes at Haig Avenue in midweek and set up Carl Rodgers’ winning goal with his very first touch.
His comeback is a boost for boss Rob Smith, who also has Lee Moore available again – the midfielder having recovered from an ankle injury to play a full part in training last night.
“Andy’s looking a lot better and he may get a start but we’ll assess him in the morning,” said Smith.
“Lee Moore trained and should be available, and we’ve got the four cup-tied lads (Phil Trainer, Danny Edwards, Emeka Nwadike and Mark Danks) back as well, so we’re looking in a much healthier position.”
Smith will be without Jon Adams, who will serve a one-game ban after accumulating five yellow cards, and fellow midfielder Jamie Vermiglio – who is left out of the squad due to the stress fracture in his back.
Striker Jarred Stevens will also return to Rushall after his brief cameo off the bench at Southport.
It is an important game for the Bucks, who need the three points to stay within reach of the current front two Gateshead and Tamworth.
Telford will also be looking to eradicate one of their worst results of the season from their memories – Hyde becoming the first, and so far only side to score three in the league against them this season.
“We owe them one,” said Smith. “We let ourselves down that day – we were pretty much in control at half-time but we got undone by a sucker punch and it went downhill from there.”
