Homes hit by power cut

computer-roomMore than 100 homes near Market Drayton were left without power for about four hours following a fault

The 113 homes in Hinstock were cut off at about 11.45am yesterday.

Andrew Barrow, Central Networks spokesman, said 22 homes were brought back on at shortly after 3.30pm, and the remaining customers by 3.45pm.

He said the roads affected included Manor Close, Manor Farm Drive, Sambrook Close and Chester Road. He added: “We had a fuse that went on the transformer, on the pole. Our apologies go to our customers for the inconvenience.”
