Husband guilty of fire murder

A man from the Shropshire border has been convicted of murdering his wife in a house fire.
Alan Stead, 42, from Meynellfield, Loggerheads, was yesterday convicted at Stafford Crown Court.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment for trapping Anita Stead, 39, in their former home and setting the fire on May 27, 2002.
