Arrest after firearm discharged
Saturday 14th February 2009, 1:30PM GMT.
Two men were arrested after a firearm was discharged in Oswestry.
Officers swooped on an address in the Gatacre Avenue area shortly after 7pm yesterday.
The men were arrested and the firearm recovered within hours.
A forensic team was today in the area as part of the investigation.
Inspector Ken Mackaill, of West Mercia Police, said today the firearm was discharged before the person responsible is thought to have made their getaway in a vehicle.
He said the two men arrested were currently helping police with their inquiries.
